Business Process Re-engineering and Financial Accounting System for the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Water Authority of Jordan, Jordan

Client:
Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI)
Year:
2002 - 2008

Under this six years USAID funded project, ECO Consult was commissioned by DAI to re-engineer the financial business processes and implement Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning Applications at several sites at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI) and the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) including WAJ Central offices in Amman, water utilities in all governorates across the Jordan, North Governorates Management Contract and the Amman Management Contract.  Additionally, ECO was involved in reforming MWI’s and WAJ’s financial systems by transforming their accounting practices from cash-based to accrual-based, and implementing an Oracle Financial Accounting System that reflected this and automated many of their processes. Work included an analysis phase, a redesign phase, and an implementation and roll-out phase.
