ECO Consult is proud to have been a technical partner in GrowEconomy, a three-year project funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The project was led by ACTED in partnership with Action Against Hunger, Terre des hommes, Phenix Centre for Sustainable Development and the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, in coordination with the National Agricultural Research Center. Implemented across Ajloun, Irbid, Madaba and Balqa, GrowEconomy promoted sustainable, inclusive and decent economic opportunities for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians in the agriculture sector. It supported 612 small farming households to adopt climate-adaptive farming techniques and helped 1,619 agricultural labourers improve their employability.

Within the project, ECO Consult led the work on market access and value chain integration. The team assessed the strawberry, baby cucumber, bell pepper, okra and eggplant value chains and mapped market opportunities for small farmers, including the reopened Jordan–Syria export corridor. ECO Consult also selected eight medium and large anchor farms, which committed to decent work and to supporting small farmers, and trained their workers to pass on sustainable farming practices.

The project's final activity was a series of Market Network Sessions that ECO Consult held in March and April 2026. These events brought 428 small farmers face to face with restaurants, food processors and suppliers, and 144 supply agreements were signed, well above the target of 100.
